About The Store

Suhrid.art celebrates creativity, beauty, the values of inclusion and fair opportunity for people of diverse abilities.

Suhrid, a carefree and happy teen of 16 was diagnosed autistic at the age of 2.8 years. Even as a toddler, Suhrid had an exceptional attachment to colors, infact, it became one of the markers for his autism since it was an obsessive interest. Suhrid had no speech at the time of his diagnosis and he remains a non-verbal autistic kid. He communicates through Digital Alternative and Augmentative Communication (AAC) modality called Avaz, Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS), gestures and his Art. Suhrid is and always has been a visual learner. He creates amazing, original abstracts, modern, contemporary and geometric art. Given his intense absorption in nature and love for open wide spaces, his landscapes are a feast for the senses. We hope you will join in and explore his world of thoughts and ideas, autistic perceptions – all expressed through his paintings. His artworks have been arranged in 5 Galleries: Abstract, Modern, Contemporary, Landscape & Geometric. They are listed with their dimensions and medium for sale in The Shop of the portal.

The label of the webstore is Suhrid’s sign. He considers ‘Suhrid’ as his art signage and relates to his pet name, Chintu as his name by which he is generally addressed.

This is a wonderful example of a Strengthsbased Approach, in which the focus is on Suhrid's strengths and talents. His artwork is colorful, vibrant, and joyful. In June I was in your beautiful country (New Delhi and Ranthambore National Park). I can see what a great example he and his business will be for those in India and for us in other countries. I will let everyone I know about him and his website.
